Although Thailand is renowned for being the original backpacker’s paradise and budget traveller’s dream, this dynamic, developing country is just so much more.

We spent two months exploring from north to south, and it’s bizarre to compile our eclectic mix of experiences and say ‘that all happened in one country’. The north and south are so different and incredible in their own right. The landscapes, featuring waterfalls, rice-paddies, palm-fringed beaches and limestone karsts are simply out-of-this-world amazing.

And then you have Bangkok; one of the most intense and super-charged cities you’ll ever experience in the world, let alone Asia.

Be warned: Thai cuisine is an experience in itself. Street food is a way of life, and it’s oh-so delicious. Some of your best foodie memories will emerge from roadside eateries with 40฿ dishes enjoyed with the locals on plastic seating, washed down with a cold Chang beer.

Every single Thai person we met was a dream. So warm, welcoming and keen to share information, tips and suggestions on how to get the most out of your time in Thailand. The country is extremely easy to navigate as a visitor, with a near-seamless transport infrastructure and high-quality accommodation.

We simply dare you not to fall in love with the Land of Smiles. We couldn’t tear ourselves away, and we’d return in a heartbeat.
